PENNIES
FOR PAWS
In tribute to longtime CAT supporter Donna Hickox, who passed away
earlier this year, we have established the Donna Hickox Memorial Cat Food
Fund and CAT members have already been working to add to it! Paula Connolly and Vicky Smith have started
a fundraising initiative called "Pennies for Paws," and they need
your help.
Do you have extra pennies that you are willing to donate? The funds
raised will be used to purchase food so that the cats under our care will not
go hungry.
If you are interested in helping, please send an e-mail to Paula at pmtc.2006@yahoo.ca or in PEI phone Paula at 902-388-1999 to make arrangements
to have your coins picked up.
ON BEHALF OF THE
MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS OF THE CAT ACTION TEAM, AND THE CAREGIVERS AND CATS,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Cat Action
Team is grateful for the kind support from the producers of The Nine Lives of L.M. Montgomery. See below for show dates, and to learn more

$1,174.46 !! Thanks to all who helped.
Prince County Yard Sale and Perennial Sale
The Prince County Yard Sale and Perennial Sale was held on May
15th and it was a huge success. Here’s the update from CAT
member Beverly Hillier:
Wanted to update you on our sale which took place yesterday.
Thankfully the rain didn't materialize (as predicted), but it was a bit
chilly. In terms of $$,this was our best yard sale yet. We were hoping to
reach the $1000 mark which we have come close to in the past, but have never
been able to attain. Well, we not only reached it, we exceeded it!! We made
over $1200.00. The final tally isn't available yet, as we still
have a few boxes of books that are being sold, so that money will need to
be added.
I want to say thank you again to Jim & Pearl Schurman for lending their
garage & yard to us. This is an ideal location for our sale and just
the fact that we have everything under a roof in case of rain is greatly
appreciated. I hope we weren't too much bother.
Thanks to Betty, Katie, Ron, Linda, Dana and Fred. Also thanks to all
who donated items for the sale. Without your generous
contributions, there would be no sale.
Lastly, a very HUGE thank you to Ron & Linda who spent many days digging
and repotting plants. They supplied over 400 plants from their gardens!!!! A
lot of work - thank you.

The Haviland Club,

This sale was a great

plants looked, and what good condition they were in. And people really
appreciated the fact that everything was properly labeled, with pictures of
