17 October 2009: Fundraising Dinner

The Cat Action Team recently held its second annual dinner and silent auction at the beautiful Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead.  Dianne Fullerton of Borrowed Kitchen prepared a delicious choice of roast turkey or vegetarian options.  Lively entertainment was provided by Kendall Docherty & Friends.

19 and 20 September 2009: PEI Pet Expo

The Crapaud Actiplex

The Cat Action Team was one of the exhibitors at the 1st PEI Pet Expo, organized by the PEI Humane Society.  We shared a booth with our companion organization, SpayAid PEI.  Everyone had a great time, and it was an excellent way to meet the public and talk about how we can all help the animals of PEI.  Thanks to everyone who came out, and a special thanks to our volunteers who helped at the booth.

Saturday 20 June 2009: Grocery Bagging Day

Charlottetown

Our annual grocery bagging day at one of Charlottetown's local supermarkets was once again a popular event with customers. It's always wonderful to get a chance to meet the public and see how much people want to help the animals. Customers were more than willing to put a few coins and bills in our donation jars, as our volunteers eagerly helped to bag groceries.

See our volunteers here as they skillfully handle groceries in environmentally friendly bags.

Saturday 6 June 2009: Charlottetown Plant Sale

The Haviland Club, Charlottetown

This sale was a great success. We had lots of comments from people about how lovely the plants looked, and what good condition they were in.  And people really appreciated the fact that everything was properly labeled, with pictures of the plants in full bloom.  It's nice to know what you're buying!

Have a look at a few pictures from the sale here.

As always, this event was such a success because of the wonderful enthusiasm of our volunteers--thanks!

We'll be back next year, bigger than ever. Watch for us.
